“As part of JLR's continued business development, we have recently developed a new offsite warehouse at Midpoint circa 49000m2 - from the start of the project it became very clear that both the requirements and solution design would be complex and ongoing over a course of 12 months - vendors were engaged at the early stages of the project and as varying RFQ's went out to tender it became very clear that Dalvie's knowledge of both automotive and racking design and flexibility was far more beneficial. At varying stages through the RFQ design process, Dalvie were fully involved with numerous site visits, inspections and interaction with our forklift fleet provider to ensure their solution was tailored to fit the requirements which culminated in a full-hour presentation to Finance and Purchasing at the final stage of awarding the contract whereas the competitor only asked questions 24 hours before RFQ end. What Dalvie were capable of delivering at both the presentation and implementation stage was a fully working system delivered on time and within budget - even though the racking design changed several times during implementation. It’s the ability to work with the customer, understand and think ahead of their requirements and be flexible enough to adapt as required.”
